shaman chapter 7 part 3
“You must not harm her. I believe this came as great a shock to Satan as it has to us. There are powers at work here, lethal powers, and we must discover who wields them before it is too late.” Ariel told her while he led her out of the room.
Three servants were helping Satan with James when they came back down and walked into the library. There was a concerned expression on Satan’s face. He walked over to Nicole and placed his hand on her arm when he noticed her watching him.
“I never meant for this to happen. You must believe me.” Satan whispered. His jade eyes appeared tender. “Do you have the gift of healing? Can you command the charka?” Satan gently massaged her shoulder.
“I never commanded the charka myself” She answered. “Mark did once to heal someone close to me after Mesphisto nearly killed him. Ariel you’re an angel isn’t there something anything you can do to help him?” Ariel faced Satan. Satan laughed and then glared mockingly at the angel.
“Should you tell her, or should I?” Satan asked. Ariel walked into the foyer without responding. “Did Semjaza tell you anything of the fall of angels?”
“He told me it was over creation and that he tempted Eve in the garden. Mesphisto also said there was a great war in heaven and that he was cast out for refusing to recant before the Father.” Nicole answered. “What part did you play in that?”
“It would appear that Mesphisto has a short memory.” Satan said to her and smiled.
“Angels were forbidden to set foot on the world. The Father removed the knowledge of magic from the angels that remained in the kingdom.”
“Your memory seems even shorter than Mesphistos is.” Ariel said walking back in.
“You’ve omitted who advised the angels in the dark arts to begin with. Do you now deny all that you have done.”
“And what have I done, my brother?” Satan questioned. “Knowledge of itself is not evil, neither the common knowledge of magic nor the philosophy of heaven. It is in the inttent of purpose that evil arises. If the arts were still mine to command I could save her brother’s life but while I remain in Dudael I’m forbidden by the Father’s authority.”
“And if you were no longer in Dudael?” Nicole asked.

I think James is done.
